The Host Institution application review is currently on hold. For questions, please contact us at info@sparkinamerica.org

SPARK collaborates with American colleges to host students during the summer in-person and fall virtual semesters. Both two- and four-year institutions provide a culturally enriching experience for Russian students on their campuses.

During the Summer semester, host institutions are expected to enroll participants into a full course load of in-person courses as well as provide opportunities for community engagement and cultural enrichment. SPARK students take various courses in general studies, specialized subjects, and American studies courses. In addition, SPARK students will take one to two virtual courses at their host institution during the fall semester, while they are back home in Russia.

SPARK program covers all expenses related to participation in the program, including tuition, housing, meals, books, airfare, and additional stipends. In addition, the program handles all DS-2019 and visa arrangements.

  • Enrollment in one to two virtual courses during the fall semester;

  • Ability to offer cost-share, which can be in the form of tuition, housing, or meal reduction.
